Crafts, cards & a book fair that might change your weekend plans 📖
Good morning, Athens County. The Athens Bulldogs turned a slow start into a blowout against Alexander last week, and somewhere in the stands, local fans were absolutely eating it up. On a heavier note, a police pursuit in Athens County ended with two homicide suspects from North Carolina found dead — a reminder that quiet stretches of Ohio highway occasionally see more than they bargain for. Meanwhile, inflation is still running hot nationally, and the Fed is doing its best "wait and see" impression while Wall Street nervously refreshes its portfolio.
On a cheerier note, the Athens County Krafters are literally stitching this community together one seam at a time — and if that inspires you, Adult Crafternoon is this Sunday. Euchre Night and the Meet Cute Book Fair round out a solid week ahead. Fresh real estate listings are inside too.
