Good morning, Franklin County. A child's 911 call led Columbus police to a deeply troubling scene on Bannon Court last weekend β two adults found dead in separate rooms, with investigators piecing together what happened. It's a heavy story, and one worth reading carefully inside. On a more hopeful note, Ohio State's Moritz College of Law is trading campus life for a stunning 1926 downtown landmark, putting future lawyers steps from the Ohio Supreme Court. Not a bad commute upgrade.
On the lighter side, your Columbus Metropolitan Library card just became a theater ticket β free passes to The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio are now available through Culture Pass. Tuck that one away. The Columbus Coffee Festival is also right around the corner, Sports scores are inside, and fresh Real Estate listings are waiting too.

Police find two dead in Columbus home after 911 call from young child
π¨ A child's 911 call led police to two adults found dead. Officers arrived at a Columbus home on Bannon Court on Sept. 14 after a young child told dispatchers someone inside may have died. Police discovered a man and a woman deceased in separate rooms, with no signs of gunshot wounds. Investigators believe the two were in a domestic relationship and are not searching for any suspects. While authorities have not ruled out murder-suicide, they confirmed there had been no prior calls for service to the home. Read more
Ohio Stateβs Law School Is Moving Downtown Into The Historic Huntington Bank Building
ποΈ Ohio State's law school is ditching campus for downtown Columbus. The Moritz College of Law will relocate to the historic 1926 Huntington National Bank Building at 17 S. High St., directly across from the Statehouse, with an opening planned for fall 2029. The 13-story, 200,000-square-foot building will be renovated to include classrooms, a law library, and faculty offices, while its grand banking lobby becomes an event space. The move puts students steps away from the Ohio Supreme Court, City Hall, and major law firms β dramatically expanding externship and clerkship opportunities, according to the college's dean.
