Starting July 1, the Home Energy Assistance Summer Crisis Program offers eligible Ohioans help paying electric bills, purchasing fans or air conditioners, or repairing central AC units through September 30. Households at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines qualify, including seniors 60+, those with medical conditions like asthma or COPD, and anyone facing utility disconnection. Last year, the program aided over 55,000 Ohio households, distributing $12.4 million in benefits.
