Stars Hollow is real this weekend (seriously) π
β
Good morning, Jackson County. October is doing exactly what October is supposed to do. The Pumpkin Walk is back for its 14th year in Oak Hill on the 10th, Wellston's Halloween Block Party returns for round four on the 29th, and the whole county is basically one big carved gourd at this point. It's the most wonderful time of the year β and we mean that sincerely.
On a genuinely feel-good note, Meta, Amazon, and Google are collectively putting $18 million toward Ohio electric bills through AEP's assistance program β so Big Tech is occasionally useful. Nationally, bond yields rattled Wall Street again, though stocks squeezed out a small recovery. While the markets sort themselves out, fresh Real Estate listings, local Sports scores, and Financial Friday's savings tip are all waiting inside.

AEP Ohio and five data center companies, including Meta, Amazon, and Google, have pooled resources to supercharge the utility's Neighbor to Neighbor program, which provides grants to residents struggling to cover their electric bills. Meta leads the pack with a $10 million commitment over five years, while Amazon is contributing $2.5 million in 2026 alone.
