🎵 Athens, Ohio's classic radio station just got a golden makeover. WATH-AM 970 has flipped from Sports to Oldies, rebranding as "Southern Ohio Gold" in partnership with Seaboard Networks. The format, curated by Seaboard CEO Steve Clendenin, is designed to restore the heritage feel that made WATH a beloved community staple for decades. Athens Disc Alliance tees off for Ohio Brew Week

🥏 Athens is getting its first-ever disc sports festival this July! The Athens Disc Alliance, a nonprofit founded in late 2024, will host Athens Disc Fest from July 10-12, featuring disc golf, Kan Jam, and even disc dog competitions alongside Ohio Brew Week. The three-day event will also include roller derby bouts, live music, and a fundraising effort to complete the Green Mile—an ambitious 18-hole disc golf course being built behind the Athens Community Center.
